Sommerfest 2026 – Wir haben dem Wetter getrotzt!
Community, music and plenty of heart.
Sometimes it’s the challenges that make a celebration special.
In the days leading up to it, our 2026 summer festival didn’t look promising. Initially, the weather forecasts predicted exceptionally high temperatures; later, thunderstorms were also forecast. It therefore quickly became clear to us that the health of our pupils, families, guests and our team was our top priority.
Nevertheless, cancelling the event was out of the question for us.
After all, our summer festival is far more than just a date in the calendar. It marks the joint conclusion of an eventful school year, a reunion for many families, a celebration of our community and, for many groups, the last opportunity to perform what they have worked on over the past few months.
That is why we decided at short notice to move most of the summer party into our studios and also to make use of the area in front of Studio 1 – the part that would be in the shade first. Looking back, that was exactly the right decision.
A musical start steeped in tradition
For the second time now, we were delighted to welcome the Ahrensburger TSV marching band to our summer party. Their parade kicked off the festivities and created a cheerful and festive atmosphere right from the start.
Many thanks for this wonderful support – we’re already looking forward to seeing you again!
The stage is set for our pupils
Of course, the focus of the day was once again on our pupils.
With great enthusiasm, our groups presented excerpts from their lessons and showed what they had been working on over the past few months. Whether it was dance, musical theatre or drama – every performance made it clear just how much passion, courage and personal growth went into each individual performance.
For our younger pupils in particular, these performances are often a very special moment. Standing together on stage, receiving applause and being able to share their own progress with family and friends is a major part of what sets our musical theatre school apart.
A highly successful premiere
For the first time, we dedicated the finale of our summer festival entirely to our pupils’ vocal performances.
This idea proved to be a resounding success. With great emotion, impressive voices and thunderous applause, our summer festival came to a wonderful musical close, which has certainly left us all keen to do it again.
Pupil of the Year 2026
A particularly emotional moment was the presentation of the award to our Pupil of the Year.
This year, Mia from one of our children’s groups was delighted to receive this special honour.
With her dedication, positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning together, she embodies many of the values that define our musical theatre school. Dear Mia – congratulations! We are very proud of you.
Enjoying it together
Of course, there was plenty of food and drink on offer too.
This year, the Krohn family didn’t provide the food from the barbecue as usual, but instead set up a hotdog station. It was a spontaneous change that went down a treat with our guests.
In addition, our club café in Studio 2 was once again on hand to welcome visitors with a wide selection of homemade cakes. Thanks to the many generous cake donations, our café team was able to serve numerous guests whilst also raising important funds for the Freundeskreis Musical e. V..
A heartfelt thank you to all the bakers, helpers and our café team for their fantastic efforts.
Thank you for your support
Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, we received a few last-minute cancellations.
We were all the more delighted by the many families, friends and guests who made their way to Bogenstraße despite the high temperatures and celebrated with us.
It is precisely days like these that show what makes our musical theatre school so special.
It’s not just about lessons or performances. It’s about connections. About community. About people who support one another, laugh together, look out for one another and share many unforgettable moments.
A huge thank you
A summer festival of this scale is only possible because so many people lend a hand.
Our thanks go to all the volunteers, the lecturers, our organising team, the families, the Ahrensburger TSV marching band, the Krohn family, the team at our club café and everyone who donated cakes, those who helped with setting up and clearing away, our neighbours – first and foremost the team at the Hochberg Flea Markets – the Freundeskreis Musical e. V. and, of course, all the pupils who made this day so special with their performances.
We look back on an eventful school year and are already looking forward to everything the coming season has in store.
Thank you for being part of the Ahrensburg Musical School. We’re looking forward to the final week of term and then seeing you all again after the summer holidays!
