New for 2020: Studio Z!

Unusual times call for creative solutions: we are proud to present “Studio Z”!

This week, face-to-face teaching has resumed at the Musicalschule Ahrensburg, just in time for the 2020/21 academic year. The current “Corona Decree” issued by the state government of Schleswig-Holstein once again stipulates that group singing in enclosed spaces is not permitted. Safety is, of course, our top priority at the musical school, and – in the interests of all students, instructors, staff, as well as their families and contacts – we are strictly adhering to the guidelines to do our bit to help contain the pandemic.

Studio Z combines teaching with pandemic containment

The team at Musical Creations Entertainment, which runs the Musicalschule Ahrensburg, has, at short notice and with considerable effort over the past few days, implemented the Studio Z plan. Unfortunately, the last-minute communication of the wording of the Corona Decree by the state government of Schleswig-Holstein meant there was no longer lead time for its implementation. Studio Z – a tent open on three sides – complies not only with the specific COVID-19 regulations but also with safety requirements such as certified fire protection and a high “ceiling height”, whilst at the same time offering extensive protection from the elements – such as, most recently, the intense heat and glare of the sun – thanks to its design and location. All students using Studio Z will, of course, receive an introduction to the rules that apply specifically here.

With this unusual measure, we are endeavouring to run as comprehensive and ‘normal’ a programme of lessons as possible at the Musicalschule Ahrensburg during these undoubtedly challenging times. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank once again all our students and their families who have stood by us during this time and motivated us to keep going with so many kind gestures – you probably don’t realise just how much that means to us 🙂

But: together we can make it work, and we’re looking forward not only to showing you our new studio, but also to presenting our plans for the new school year in detail!
