MSA On Track: The Musicalschule Ahrensburg's New Scholarship Programme

Anyone preparing for an audition for a musical theatre degree knows: talent isn’t enough. Admissions panels at performing arts colleges aren’t just looking for good singers, actors or dancers. They’re looking for complete artists — people who can sing, dance and act, who can fill a stage and read a room.

That’s exactly why we developed MSA On Track at the Musicalschule Ahrensburg.

Why MSA On Track — and why now?

Young talent has been growing at the Musicalschule Ahrensburg for years — students from all our courses, but also people from outside who find their way to us because they want something more serious than a hobby class. Until now, there was no offering that matched the seriousness of their goal. We’ve changed that.

MSA On Track is the answer. Not a course that trains individual disciplines in isolation, but a structured intensive programme that brings five core disciplines together over a full programme term: private singing lessons, musical theatre training, ballet, tap dance, and acting & specialist courses.

What sets MSA On Track apart

There are programmes out there that prepare you for musical theatre auditions. What makes MSA On Track different comes down to three things.

First: breadth. Performing arts auditions demand competence across several disciplines at once. Train only your voice, and you’ll fall short at the dance audition. Only dance, and your monologue will fall flat. MSA On Track trains every area — not side by side, but in alignment with each other.

Second: commitment. The programme initially runs from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. This isn’t a workshop or a crash course — it’s a year-long commitment, with everything that entails: consistency, growth, setbacks and progress.

Third: funding. MSA On Track is a scholarship programme. MCE — Musical Creations Entertainment GmbH — supports every participant with a scholarship of €176 per month. The total value of the package is €451 per month; the scholarship holder’s own contribution is €275. This is possible because we believe in the people accepted into this programme — and because we see this funding as an investment, not a discount.

The ICMT partnership: doors that open

A special feature of MSA On Track is our partnership with the International College of Musical Theatre (ICMT). Scholarship holders gain access to ICMT masterclasses with international coaches, to the ICMT community, and to opportunities to take part in events on the Ahrensburg campus.

That’s more than an add-on. It’s a connection into a network that carries real weight in the professional musical theatre world.

Who can apply?

MSA On Track is aimed at young people aged 14 and up who are seriously pursuing a career as a musical theatre performer. A basic grounding in at least one discipline is required, along with a willingness to commit to the full length of the programme.

Important: the programme cannot simply be booked. The MCE scholarship is awarded exclusively following a successful entrance audition and by explicit invitation only. Applications are open until 16 August 2026, with the entrance audition taking place on 21 August 2026.

The road to the stage starts with a decision

Many people dream of standing on a professional stage. Few decide to seriously work towards it. MSA On Track is made for exactly those people — not just the dreamers, but those ready to walk the path.

You’ll find all the information about the programme, application documents and the entrance audition on the MSA On Track programme page.
